Two men wanted to go swimming. They drove down to a lake. On a little rock they saw a boy. He had a fishing rod in his hands. »  Are     the fish biting?» one of the men asked. «No, they aren’t.» the boy answered , «but the worms are.» The two men  looked on and laughed about the boy’s answer. When they came   back they saw that something was wrong with the boy. They looked at him and saw lots of little red bites on his hands and arms. So, they went into the can with the worms in it. They found  out that it was full of baby rattlesnakes.

2. Read Tessa’s postcard to Angela and write the missing words. Use one word only in each space.

We’re having a great time here. It’s beautiful, and the sun is shining. Yesterday I went water skiing! What do— you think of that? I still think postcards are nicer than emails, so I’m sitting at a table in our hotel room and writing a few. The room is fine, but we dont like the food very much. But it does`t matter because we go out to a restuarant every evening.

We’re both getting very lazy at the moment. I wake up quite late in the morning, and Dan wake up even later. You know of course how much Dan’s work means to him and how he’d been talking about it. Well, the holiday is so good that he’s forgotten all about work. So it’s the perfect holiday. The only problem is that it’s taking us a lot of money But we’ll worry about that later.

Dear James,

Thanks for your email. It was very nice to have news from you. I was very happy to hear that you are finally getting married to Maria. It’s perfect! I think you will make her very happy and she will make you very happy, too. How did your parents react when you gave them the news? Aren’t they excited? I’m sure they are really happy. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all at the wedding.

By the way, do you remember that I wanted a dog? I already have one. It’s a really cute little dog that I found in the street.   Its name is Max. Sara and I found it under our car on a really cold winter day and  we decided to adopt that adorable creature right away. We are so happy with our new pet! Max has quickly become one more member of the family.

Well, I hope to see you soon, James. Please call me if you need any help.

Love,

Samuel.

She meets them as often as possible and they enjoy going to the mall more than going to the cinema. I really don’t like going shopping. I think that’s theԱ most boring thing you can do.
